We are excited to announce that we have become a corporate partner of Surrey Wildlife Trust and that we will be supporting them for at least the next 12 months as a Small Business Partner.
Surrey Wildlife Trust works to protect wildlife across Surrey, both on its nature reserves and through its work with others. The Trust manages over 7000ha of land for wildlife across Surrey, including some of the county's top nature reserves.
"We are delighted that Avery and Brown has chosen to become Small Business Partners of Surrey Wildlife Trust. In doing so, they are directly helping to maintain, protect and improve nature in Surrey - both for wildlife and the communities that enjoy our wild spaces. We are extremely grateful for their support."
- Tania Ord-Smith, Corporate Development Officer, Surrey Wildlife Trust
It's true that Surrey has some stunning countryside and a fantastic diversity of wildlife. Unfortunately, however, it also has one of the fastest-declining wildlife populations of any county in England.
2017’s State of Surrey’s Nature report showed that a third of our species are now either extinct or at risk of extinction. Road and other developments, poor management and lack of funding have created barriers between natural spaces and led to less and less room for wildlife.
As part of #OperationRegeneration, we are committed to tackling the climate, ecological and biodiversity crises is any way we can - both locally and internationally. Supporting Surrey Wildlife Trust was an easy decision for us and we are delighted to be able to directly help them to restore Surrey's nature through the delivery of inspiring wildlife education activities and the preservation of their reserves.
