We chose Avery & Brown as a marketing agency specialising in sustainability – something that really chimed with our values when looking for partners.

We needed some fresh eyes to help us validate our brand mission and marketing strategy and see how that was reflected in our website and design, as well as help with our marketing content plan. In a short space of time, the team at A&B delivered rich material that sparked our creative brains so much that we'll have content ideas for the next 12 months and beyond – they definitely know their stuff!

It was great to meet with the team face to face and see in reality the sharp creativity of Russ as we bounced ideas in the room. The team is really open, honest and works in a collaborative manner, which we really appreciated and benefited from.

Avery & Brown were a delight to work with. Through their Brand & Marketing Audit, they astutely condensed our confused offering into a clear mission and value statement, while also providing considerable feedback on our web experience that has helped us build a much clearer experience for new users.

The experience was painless for a task which I'd been putting off for months, and we're now in a much better strategic position. Thanks team!"

FAQs

  • What's included in the final audit report?

The audit report is presented in two parts. Part 1 is a consolidated list of all of our recommendations so that you have them all in one place for easy reference. Part 2 is the main audit report containing all the detailed information of our findings that led to the recommendations. Don’t worry; we don’t just send you the report as an email attachment; we present our findings back to you over a video call (or in person if you’re local to us) so that you have the opportunity to ask us questions. Then we send you the report once the call is finished.

  • How long does the audit process typically take?

From payment of the invoice to the audit being completed and presented back to you, the process typically takes about 1-2 weeks. This assumes that you provide us the information we require (see below) within the first day or two. We endeavour to complete it for you as quickly as possible so that you can start taking action on the recommendations.

  • How much does the audit cost?

Our Brand & Marketing Audit is priced at £3,000 +VAT, and the total amount is payable upfront for work to commence. (PS – It’s not a cost; it’s an investment.)

  • What do I need to provide to get started?

The short answer is: as much as you can! The long answer is: the more information we have from you, the better an understanding we’ll have of your company. But don’t worry; we make this process as easy as possible for you by sending you a simple information gathering questionnaire to complete and return to us. This usually takes our clients no longer than an hour to complete.

  • How is Avery & Brown uniquely qualified to conduct this audit?

The Avery & Brown team comprises brand strategy, marketing, communications, and creative experts with decades of experience. We have delivered dozens of our Brand & Marketing Audits, constantly refine and improve the offering, and we’ve yet to have a disappointed client. You can read some of our clients’ glowing reviews on this page.

  • How much time will I / my team need to dedicate to the audit process?

We try to keep your required time as minimal as possible. As per our answer to Q4 above, completing the information-gathering questionnaire typically takes our clients no longer than an hour. Then we will need another hour to an hour-and-a-half to present our findings back to you over a video call (or in person if you’re local to us).

  • Can you tailor the audit to focus on specific areas of concern?

For an additional cost, absolutely. Many of our clients have asked us for bespoke audits to look at different areas of their business more than others, and we are also regularly asked to do much deeper dives on their competitors. Just ask us – there’s very little we can’t look at.

  • Will the audit provide some benchmarking against our competitors?

Yes, the audit provides some insights as to how your brand fares against some of your competitors (we ask you for your top three), across various areas of branding and marketing. It is not a deep-dive competitor analysis, but we can do that for an additional cost and we are asked to do this quite regularly. Please enquire for details.

  • How actionable are the recommendations provided in the audit report?

Very! Depending on the size of your business and its available resources you might be able to action some of the recommendations in house. For others, unless you have an in-house experienced brand strategist and sustainable marketing specialist, you will likely require expert support. And that’s exactly what we’re here for. See our answer to Q10 below.

  • What level of support do you offer for implementing the audit recommendations?

As an experienced and award-winning brand strategy, marketing and creative agency, we are typically able to execute the majority of the audit report recommendations. Between us and our trusted network and partners, there is very little we can’t do when it comes to all things branding and marketing. 9 times out of 10 our Brand & Marketing Audit clients engage us to execute and implement the audit report recommendations. After all, the audit is only step one. It tells you what you need to do to unlock your brand’s full potential, but nothing will change unless you start taking action!

  • How often should our business conduct a Brand & Marketing Audit?

Great question! It very much depends on your business, how big it is, what sector it's in, how quickly it is growing, scaling and adapting. At a minimum, we think it’s prudent to conduct a Brand & Marketing Audit at least every three years. But some businesses might want to do it far more regularly than this.

  • Will I receive any follow-up support after my audit is completed?

Only if you engage us to do more work for you, which 9 times out of 10 our Brand & Marketing Audit clients do. Otherwise, the project is completed and our support ends once we’ve had the video call or meeting with you to present the audit report and our findings.

  • What if I’m still nervous about spending money on an audit report?

We like to work with ambitious purpose-driven businesses that understand that great brand strategy and marketing is essential to their growth. If you’re still nervous about things and you’re still not sure after reading all the information on this page, including our client testimonials, then there’s a good chance we are not the right fit for each other. And that’s ok! We wish you all the best with your journey.

  • I’m sold! Help me unlock sustainable growth. Can we get started?

Great news! Absolutely, just complete the form below and we’ll get in touch as soon as we can to kick things off. We’re really looking forward to working with you!
